It will be good to have some dry days to do all the moving we have coming up.

When does your DD arrive? I was thinking, in an enabling sort of way, that you could set up a temporary cardboard brooder in the workshop so you and DD can still pick out chicks together. It would be fun and good incentive for your hubs not to slack when the first dry day comes to get the coop set up!

She bought a house in town a few years ago and has been slowly fixing it up.  She will still be close.  It will be good for her, she's been in a rut for a long time.

Hi!  She and her hubs moved there to be near family, but now that everyone has passed, she wants to move.  She has lived in Malibu and Cayman Islands after traveling the world with her rock star husband.  I am not sure how she will adjust to living in a run down 100 yr old farmhouse, but at least I can give her your winter weather reports to comfort her.

eek!  reminds me I am supposed to send her some pics of my huge old dining table (it came with this house).  It's too big for my place and I was going to get rid of it, but she is hoping it will work for her in the farmhouse.
I love old farmhouses. You had talked about her before, she must have some awesome stories to tell about her life. People I know who come here from Cali say that it's like life is moving in slow motion compared to what they're used to..I don't know if it works the opposite way, moving there. Probably not for your aunty, after the exciting life she's lived? Probably depends on how long she lived here. I like it slow and easy myself.

as to the proposed milking of yak 1)none of them currently have milk 2)none of them are "tame" enough to milk 3) dropped my health ins so am NOT going to take that chance should the opportunity arise.

Gone thru 2/3 of a 1/2 gallon of milk already I think I might have missed nipple numnums
