the bigger one in KY. is much nicer but a new guy took over the TSC swap and he is really busting hump to make it nice. last yr. there was about 15 vendors.

Honestly, I have yet to find a breed except serama that's not cold hardy. Even my little bantams do just fine in -20F weather. For mild manner, you might wish to look into orps and australorps... My Pet Chicken, Meyer, and cackle are all good US hatcheries for the small farm owner.

Hi Mustang welcome to BYC and Grannys. The best place to order is local in my opinion. your TSC or BST sites. As far as cold hardy I cant really come with breeds off the top of my head. You would want them with cushion combs and maybe feathered feet. Chickens can take the cold if they are out of the wind.

I have taken what food I have over there many times to feed them when they didnt have a thing to eat. and thats his beef, why would I say that. well, I say it because I am trying to help CB and you guys have good advise for me. and its part of his problems and its true and Its a free country and I can say what I please.
