Granny's gone and done it again

I hadn't told anyone yet.

kiki knew because she got me hooked up with the lady before the cruise.
Yep. Every time. I take care of all my birds, change shoes, then the new birds, then I wash up and change my clothes, no more contact with new birds for the day. Can't risk transferring bugs and boogers to my flock. Also disinfect my shoes.

I didn't mean to announce anything.
I'm sorry.

I am really excited about these birds though.

I lost the sole to one of my shoes today. Walked with a limp all day !

History: The Asian Black Chicken is a newly developed breed in the U.S. These birds harken back to the great and ancient Asian breeds such as the Langshan. The Langshan influence is very apparent looking at the Asian Black, but the Asian Black is a stockier bird with more production potential. This is a perfect breed for adding some extra diversity to an egg or meat flock.

Wish they layer a black egg

I don't think I can keep mine separate for 30 days.

Camp...why 30 days?

That's ok! Just wanted granny to know I wasn't trying to keep secrets. ;)

Any bug or infection or problem or symptom is likely to surface by 30 days.

I didn't have any room outside when I brought my first hona pair home, so they stayed in the laundry room for 30 days. It was not ideal.
