Chicken can deposit matirial in an egg, 10 days before laying!
You will need to feed her much more than one dsy, you should remmber that not all the pigment go directly to the egg!
It is better to give her hot paprika every day thus was my chicken egg yolk color with paprika 100 gram for 5 kg




The red was my eggs the yellow the freshest organic store bought egg

beautiful.
My eggs are orange but not that dark.
I will be adding paprika today.

I have read a lot of things that can make the color deeper/darker.
I have already been feeding certain ones and of course they eat natural goodies from the yard.

I was looking for exact foods that people here actually use. Thanks.

So are you saying that I will need to feed for at least 10 days before I notice a color change?
I was thinking

that since it takes about 1 full day to "make" the egg , then what ever was eaten the day before would affect the color of the yolk???


I was thinking about doing an experiment with future chickens for a kid's school project.

My great grandson that has the heart problem had appt yesterday with heart doc....His heart has enlarged and has to have more surgery..He is 4...

Poor baby.
What are they going to do to his heart this time?
