Granny's gone and done it again

Since it's pretty close, it wouldn't be much of a loss if it got rained out, right?

I do not do well driving in the rain...so
if we can for SURE see the attraction...it's it is covered...i will force myself to tuff it out and make the drive..
But if it's not covered..i'd rather not make the drive.

It looks like DH will be able to make it with me (just found out he is off tom) so yeah....i won't have to worry about driving now!
phew....

Ohh, gotcha.... Forgot southerners don't like driving in the once a year rainstorm down there

we .....all of Houston has trouble driving if it just sprinkles..
me and quite a few others....freak out if it actually rains!

my DH makes fun of me all the time..
I always have good tires but darn I am terrified of sliding around on the freeway.
Major wrecks everyday here...but more major wrecks when it's raining.

Why don't they make the roads with some type of grip?

I would never leave the house if I lived where it snowed.
Do you have to put chains on your tires?

Have fun, and try and blow some of the heat northwards....

I haven't left the computer just yet.:barnie :caf

I just found out...way last minute.. my niece is having a competition in Galveston tomorrow...which happens to be her big 10th bay..
so her smart momma :barnie has decided to have her a birthday party down (abut 40 min drive) there.

It is suppose to rain ALL day tomorrow.
Im trying to research to figure out if it would be worth the drive if it's going to rain all day...(see if its a covered/indoor place)
I haven't been since...geez..probably close to, well at least 15 years and don't remember.

LOVE the moody gardens.

LOLOLOL it rains here almost every day in the summer. You're thinking of the once-a-decade snow dusting.

Hahahaha! No chains, silly. I do live where the plow comes by, y'know.

Snow is just fine unless it's one of those 2' blizzards that make it so you can't see more than 5' in front of your car... You have to slow down a ton on those. Thank goodness they're usually predicted so you can stay off the roads.

Mud is probably the worst to drive in... The deep stuff... The ruts grab your tires and fling you around. If I had 4WD it might be better.

Rain is just fine, unless it gets really hard, in which case you maybe, once in a blue moon, might start hydroplaning... But not often.

you could make a road trip and meet us there tomorrow.
I can just add your family to my brother's party....
all bills paid.

(I do not think he knows yet that his wife is paying for everyone)

You all get an excuse for being terrified of an inch of snow, coz all you have are summer tyres. Good winter tyres are a must here. Either that or you don't go anywhere October to April.
