Im home !! I went to TSC and wally world. TSC had silkies. they had some bantams that were snow white ? I had forgotten how tiny they are and they were flying through the pen having a grand time. Luckily for me I ran into a couple chums that told me in 2 days KY. will have a ban on swaps and IN. normally follows suit. It might be a good thing my polish didnt hatch.

If I had another pen, I would like to have silkies. They are so cute. I think 31 chickens is enough for me right now. Just talked to sis who lives in AZ. She had told me they were moving to Greenville, SC, but when her work found out they offered her a $30,000 raise. Needless to say they re not moving ant time soon.

oh gosh guys, I was bad at the grocery store. Every time I go for the past 5-6 months my mouth waters for that steak . Well today is the day ! I bought a 3 pack for $16.00 .

I cant believe I did that. considering they were almost $12.00 a lb. all 3 of them together weighs just a little over a lb. LOL Then I got some neck bones. hahaha I asked Tom if I make some veggie soup are you going to throw it at me ? He said, No. Thats all the meat I got. Neck bones were clearance d out. ended up with 3 baggies of them for $5.00 Filled the van up for my drs. trip monday and pray I dont get a flat.

Wow, awesome on your sister. Too bad she dont live closer though. Thats a fine raise.
The silkies were all white. I like them for broody hens and if I thought I could of handled it I would of got some for my jubilees as I just found out they dont like to sit.

So I was watching how to cook steaks and I think I got this. Iron skillet, TON of salt , couple tablespoons of oil and very high heat for a few min. each side. Then let it rest . They say 4-5 min. but since theirs looked very thick and I can bout see through mine I will half the time . LOL
