good morning all.

Having Sherry, Earlene, and Gene over for a pinochle marathon today. The plan is from 2 to about 9 pm. I am feeding then toast-al-la-goldenrod. I guess Earlene is NOT happy about the eggs they serve/use in the nursing home.

Ran to Runnings yesterday and picked up 10 bags of starter/grower NON medicated 18% protein , 5 bags of shavings (for gen pop) and 2 new 8 gallon waterers (which were 46.00 each

) the grower was on sale over a buck a bag off and the shavings were also on sale.

Then a quick stop at Menard's for 3 bags of sterilized top soil to finish covering the cement floor in the brooder room. Still have tissue paper to place over the top of the dirt. Then just to get the temp up in there and I am ready for the chicks WHICH I have NOT evern ordered yet

. Going to shoot for a may 17 or 19 delivery date.

Did I mention that Hailey is like SUPER WOOLY hair down over her eye's already, I need to get her in the chute and see how much of her is under all that fur/hair/fuzz. BUT she sure seems to have a VERY nice set of hind quarters and good potentially be a VERY good breeder

I will try to remember camera on tues/weds and get some pics I also need pics and DNA to send into IYAK to get them registered and then list the boy's for sale. Poor Nostril Dumas just can't seem to keep his tongue in his mouth

Wagoner is the spitting image of Porter at about that age and Tibitts is as tall just not as solid. Both those 2 are very very nice looking !!!

now I just need to order the chicks this week. Trying to decide if I should try a third breed, and/or get some more Brahma's (just love them) FOR sure getting 25 of the austrops and 25 new Hampshire will order just pullets BUT fully expect to get a couple roos of each type
