Quote: You don't really need to get to the wood unless you are talking about red mites. You can spray a perimeter around the lowest part of the walls so they can't crawl up, but I think it
s the bedding they will be in most. Spray where you see them and mix it into the bedding. Not good for the chickens to walk or sit where the spray is still wet. If you have Sevin dust, you can sprinkle some of that around in the bedding, but I sure don't like to use that too much. DE, if you have some, will also make life harder for mites.

If you keep up with the Ivermectin, the mites die when they bite the bird. When the eggs hatch, the new mites need to feed before they can lay more eggs. If your birds are treated, mites will never get to the laying stage. I would probably do a third treatment, just to be sure.

whats everyone doing for Easter dinner ? Its this Sunday right ? My family is sorely lacking in tradition.

We will probably go up to MILs. She has always made a big deal out of Easter for the kids... forcing surly teenagers to do egg hunts because she likes them!

Maybe we will dye some eggs. It's fun when they already start out colored. That's how we got the eggs in my profile pic. Then it will be egg salad for about a week!

I hae been told I wont be able to breath the spray. I have tons of ivermectin. I still need those bales out though so they will go back to their nest box. I hope.

Apparently my family is fighting so it'll just be me, mom and dad. My brother is going to grandmas which will cause trouble.
