Granny's gone and done it again

Other birds with beards could be d'Uccles, but they should have feathered feet. Are these hatchery birds. I've wanted some bantam EEs... do they have pea combs?
These are from Privett Hatchery via TSC. I chose puffy cheeks with dark legs (clean - not feathered)

Bearded Belgian d'Anvers are a possibility, but they have rose combs. Privett also sells Rosecombs, blue and black. White ears. I picked 3 black and 1 blue. I spent many days considering this possibility.

As they get older I do believe these have pea combs. So, still hopeful they are what I was going for originally. EE. The obvious cockerel has feathered in differently than the other two blacks and I'm excited to think I might have some bantam counterparts to Camping's Cinder.

p.s. I now know way more than I Ever thought I would about bantam Wyandottes, D'anvers, and Rosecombs!

We will probably go up to MILs. She has always made a big deal out of Easter for the kids... forcing surly teenagers to do egg hunts because she likes them!

Maybe we will dye some eggs. It's fun when they already start out colored. That's how we got the eggs in my profile pic. Then it will be egg salad for about a week!

So you will have to make them. LOL I didnt know you did those eggs. I thought they were photo chopped. shopped ?

So, you can do a deep litter method on a wood floor... Do they just poop on the wood and you scrape it out? If they poop in the straw, and you keep it mixed (they will do it looking for food) it will break down and not smell bad.

Hubs took the photo and I stole it from him!

Nothing fancy. Not even going home. Probably the first Easter I've spent away... No, the second. The one year we lived in Arkansas we didn't travel for any holidays.

So you will cook . Ham ?

My bro has been pretty insistent that we go to his church Sunday, so maybe he has plans? I'll have to check with him.

I do deep liter in the run and I NEVER clean it out. Just keep adding. Coops were getting scraped out so the wood dont rot. Since this mite business I feel dirty and want to hose everything down good. I cant . Cob webs hanging everywhere. And then there is the chicken coop... LOL

You have to show us some pictures!!! I didn't know Privett had bantam EE. Cool. My feed store gets some chicks from them.
They do call them bantam Ameraucana, but I'm thinking EE. Pictures are not my strong point. I'll keep trying, but have seen the demise of a backdrop due to poopage in the last half hour with blurry pictorial results and am taking a break from trying - but haven't given up!
