No. I will push for a new router this weekend.  For some reason, hubs is dragging his heels...  he wants to know a new router will fix it before he spends the money.

The CCL I am getting have the small crests.  Finally I get some birds with a little top knot!  e     

It probably is the router. My parents went through 6 before one would work.
Yay! Love the little hats! Was wondering why some had them and some didn't.

Hen, I dont know about your babies. Even with mama they can get picked on . Mama only keeps them for so long. I would guess it depends on the other chickens in there and if they are mean or tolerant.     If they are as small as the one in the picture I would say no. 

Thanks Granny. That's what I was afraid of. Hubs wants smaller chickens in bigger coop. But I told him they were don't need to go in with the new babies

Granny, I gave them to Cinder. She was mama to 9 last fall and just wasn't happy with one. She was setting on anything she could find and leaving her poor baby. It was wandering through the pen today and when I tried to catch it the crazy thing ran through the fence and into the woods. It got in the barn somehow and wandered through there while I grabbed Cinder off the nest. So it's also much safer now.
