Granny's gone and done it again

I don't like the egg ID to be wrote on the top of the egg. When I candle I do mark air cells so the writing gets in the way. I write mine on the sides of the egg. Have even started to write the egg number all the way around the egg. That way it doesn't matter which side the egg is turned. I'm able to know what egg is hatching for my records.

That's what I use the bands for. Plus the incubator I have is tall enough that I can hatch different breeds in baskets. Makes for easier identification. I tag them as I remove them. Eliminates breed confusion.
