Granny's gone and done it again

back in 92 I slipped and fell and tore all the tissue and muscles in my back. It also compressed the spinal column in the lower back to the point a piece of paper can not be slipped between them. Spinal taps tend to result in scrapings.
It is much MUCH more then a discuss problem. Sorry to hear that, hope you will feel better and I am wishing you health.

I was trying to catch up real quick on BYC before I run to the grocery store.
I am not a fan of the grocery store on Sundays...(it is always too packed) so I need to get on the road before it's too busy.
My brother is having a little family BBQ today so I may take the kids over there to swim after I cook and get DH off to work. (Dh goes in to work at 3:30 pm til 4:30 am)
So, I'll be around the house til later this afternoon.

(I think Im going to start a big pot of beans to take to brothers...thanks H2O for making me think about mexican food) lol
I'm never a fan of the grocery store. Always too many people...not something I enjoy! We just got a new Kroger Marketplace, and while they have great food, there's people everywhere being rude all the time! Have fun at the BBQ!

How much land do you have down there ?

Berkshire hogs seem to be the big thing up here currently.

Almost 5 acres. We have our Mangalitsa Hogs put into two pens. One acre pen for the girls and a 1/2 acre pen for the boy. The AGH get a smaller pen for themselves. We try to make sure they have more room to move and have space.

And we sell to those that want to eat them. We castrate the males at a week old so that we don't risk boar taint in the meat as DH and I can both taste boar taint in the meat.
I have also heard that a gilt in season can "taint" the meat as well. Sounds like you have a fab set up
