I didn't think of it that way.
But he continued to lie to his boss...Who he called immediately and he (boss)showed up in his person vehicle/plain clothes. Then to the investigators..

I mean flat out lying which was really really bothering me.

Only time I've been in an accident was exactly like that, just not a cop that hit me. Totaled my car, but the money from that and some I had saved up allowed me to buy the little blue car that I just turned it. Wow, that accident was 30 yrs ago, but I can still remember is plainly.
I would file a complaint at the station about the weasely lies he told. Very unethical and unprofessional. It's his friggin job to be truthful and to protect people, not try to make them account for his mistakes! And what else has he lied about to keep himself out of trouble??? Thank goodness you had the video from the feed store. Officer should be reprimanded for what he did... for the false statements if not the accident itself. That kind of petty crap gives all officers a bad rep. Lights and sirens my ass.

You probably posted those pics before the likes/ovations ever came out. I think we are way too hung up on that kind of stuff. I give likes (when I remember) for anything that makes me laugh or think or is helpful. I try not to pay attention to whether I am getting them or not. I am not posting for the purpose of accumulating points. If that was the reason to do it, I wouldn't enjoy it.

I forgot to "insert quote" the other day when Sour posted this..
I wanted to tell him that the UNANSWERED Threads was new..it hasn't always been there on this new site.



I'm going to keep my 4 hours story short.
Short version: Went to go to the feed store this afternoon for hay and feed for horses and chickens.
A SUV police was hauling ask down a two lane road and slammed right into the back of me. DH was actually driving, I was passenger.
We will be ok. Just pretty pissed that this happened...NO telling what he (the driver) was thinking but he did seem pretty sorry.
Had to wait for his Sargent to get to the scene. Then had to wait for the investigation officers to arrive.
Best part..it happened right in front of my feed store...ALL was caught on their surveillance cameras. He was at fault!!
Now...we don't carry the rent a car stuff on our insurance policy so I need to find out if the cop's insurance will cover the cost of me getting a rent a car or not.
I will deal with that tomorrow.
I'm just happy to be home and out of the heat!
(I was able to record the video on my phone when the owner of the feed store was playing it back for the investigators.)

I'm ok..DH is sore. We both will live.
I feel bad for my darn car!
I think I should be the one to "mess it up"/I should have the choice.
I had no choice, and I know it's just an "accident" and I can't do much about it now..but this "COP" should have been paying attention...

I will tell you right now. Get an attorney. Go to the dr they suggest and get a rental. They will be paying for it.

You mean they havent always been there ? I know how you feel about them and maybe I should feel like that too but I have to be honest, I like having them , they make me feel good. Not trying to earn brownie points , just feel like people like me enough to take the time.

That's good idea... especially the cool down part. I'm mad for you, and if I went down to the station, I'd probably end up getting arrested. When a police officer intentionally makes false statements to cover his ass, it undermines every officers' word out there in the field. And with all the horrible anti-police sentiment that we've seen in the last several years, it is inexcusable!! If he will lie over something relatively minor, what won't he lie about? A shooting? Someone carrying? It is very serious, and I hope his superiors treat it that way. He broke the code.

Well, it's a good thing you can't see what I was thinking because It would have made you blush! I am in a terrible mood today anyhow, trying to function on 2 1/2 hrs sleep. Just got up to yell at the cat for trying to rip out the screen door. Then realized the kid was STILL in the bathroom and told him he's gonna get hemorrhoids sitting in there that long! sheesh! Got anyone you want me to tear into? It's that bad.

my left arm was resting on the arm rest thingy in between our seat...my hand hit the shifter thingy and my lower arm/wrist has been tingling for the last few hours..I have no idea what this type of "injury" would be called...I'm going to call it a sprain, I think it will "heal"..my mom thinks I need to go to a doctor and get the cops to pay for it...I rather not even mess with it.
DH had to get to work...will check n him later..see how he is feeling.
