Found a baby on death's door. Laying on its side, getting trampled by its friends/siblings. Thought it was injured til I picked it up. Nope, just starved.

I gave it a few drops of rooster booster in the beak and made it a feed slurry. My chick starter is 24%, hoping that'll give it a boost. It really went to kicking when it heard and saw the water. It can stand by itself. I'm going to put it in the brooder with heat. Maybe a sibling?

I didn't mean like that lol sounded like it though. We can vote more than once right? There was one that you could only choose 3 (I think) it was set up like a poll.

I could never find the contests when they are going on, even on old BYC. Found one this morning and clicked watch forum. We'll see. I'd like to try a contest but obviously I don't have a way with words lol

Poor baby, I'm digging the feeder lol did the others gobble the food down first? I have a bunch of pigs that push certain chickens out. There's enough room but they don't want them there.

7 eggs today. Granny, the sun has shined probably 2 hrs/day for the last 3 weeks. If it's not raining it looks like it's gonna. I have plenty of eggs left. Scrambled 10 for bfast, boiling 11 now, & have 9 left. Fed cats 4 today.

I dump their crumbles in a hog pan so I can't imagine her never getting feed, but she looks like a skeleton with feathers. I can clearly see the femur(?) connected to her hip.

Seems to be perking up. It will be a miracle if she survives.

She's so pretty. Pecking order stinks.i want some baby chicks but gonna wait a little longer.i like where all my chickens are penned. 9 hens + 1 roo in each of my 3 pens. 5 silkies in rabbit hutch

No, that's a good idea. I need to spend time at the farm tonight. The kitchen has me so busy. I did notice their bedding is damp and they all look chilled. So fresh hay and rooster booster for them, too.

Sure thing! I'd love to. It's been breaking my heart not incubating, but I just don't have room. The banty flock lives in the tractor and that makes a bigger difference than I anticipated.

Just let me know when! I let my NPIP lapse because I was too busy to even call, but I'll get it back sometime this summer.
