She's in ICU: brooder with heat, feed slurry and rooster booster. She's on her feet and walking around today!
I know, jane. I feel like the worst chicken mama. After I moved them to the barn I didn't handle them as much, so I didn't see it. I gave them food and fresh water every day.

Took this after I got her taken care of. That waterer is empty, they have a nipple system on the door. They were damp from rain blowing through, but I've got them fixed up now. Still, a few have that cocci "posture." Guess it reinforces the importance of putting hands on your birds.

As I was cooking I started hurting really bad. couldnt even eat. I did get a TON of bacon grease Jane. Tom asked me why I like to save that . Umm, cause its just the best thing EVER ! I ruined scrambled eggs. They were terrible. So after the pain let up some I went to town to pick meds up and swing by the amish store. Got a carrot cake roll. Came home fed chickens cleaned kittys litter box. There was a frog next to the kittys cage. dead. Someone trying to feed them. It was gone when I went back. I didnt see the tom cat anywhere out there.

Camping, when I add juvies to the flock I auto give them corrid now. I dont know if thats a good thing to do or not but it stopped my problems.

Finished mowing. Think it took me 4 hrs total. Thank feel good about that. Need to load dishwasher & work on cabinet after i rest. Told GS what to do in morning to finish up the yard. Hope we don't have any problems minding me. Next week I'm gonna let him do it all. He says he wants to.

Jane, how old was GS on the riding mower the first time ? CB wants to ride mine. I thought him too young. he just turned 12.
