Granny's gone and done it again

Yep. And he doesn't want any that will take a heat lamp. Better start spraying them with miracle grow now lol

Wow. Umm. That's not how that works.

LET THE TEN DAYS OF HORRIBLE DRIVING COMMENCE!!!

They closed my main road out late last night (the one that was closed for a few days cause of the rock slide and it made life miserable) and it'll be closed for ten days. Yikes. I warned work that I'd be trying to move my hours ahead so hopefully be in shortly after the yard foreman (he's usually there around 5:00-5:3am).

The chickens may be released before dawn. Oh well.

Aaaand hubs just got a road call. Hahahaha they have him on call....oh that's bad.

how about sending me some of that magical miracle grow. I can't find any here and ill have chicks I need to use it on next week lol.
Lol! I'll pack some up for ya.

I feel for you. They closed the hill down for a week so the 5 minutes to get to town turned into 30.

Yeah. We'll see if leaving the house at 5am helps or not.

Sigh. I wish I could skew it so I could come in later/stay later but I am the only one in the office without keys to the castle. (The joys of being the "part time-er" (yeah, about that...)

Came with hubs on the road call. There's a Home Depot right across from the yard we're at so going to get paint for the containers and another can of paint for the coop.

...apparently there's also a Diesel engine we're going to get for racevo at some point too down here. California peeps know...bloody smog regulations. Sad thing is, as it sits now (when it runs) it runs cleaner and more efficiently than stock, but it would never pass smog because it isn't stock.

But sometimes their smog requirements are more than the stock engines can provide anyway so....

(I'm not completely hating on the smog program y'all. There's a lot of vehicles down here, and yeah air is a good thing. I just find it funny that you can have the most unsafe, about to fall apart jalopy but as long as it passes smog, it's good. And now...new rules - anything other than stock size tires and it'll fail. So off-roaders/mall crawlers better have a second set of wheels....gotta find a second set for offroadvo. Anyway. That was a whole rant.

Granny good luck at the swap meet!!!

Yes, and yet look at all the farm equipment, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, planes, ATVs, and boats that get to spew whatever. 2 stroke engines are the worst. Shouldn't matter how your engine is configured, if it is within acceptable limits of exhaust, it should pass. It started as an air quality program, and the air in CA is way cleaner now than it was in the 60s and 70s (I remember black clouds behind most cars and trucks), even when there were far fewer people. Unfortunately, now it is not about the air, it is a revenue stream and another way to placate special interest groups to keep the same crooked folks in their positions of power. But I'm not jaded. :hmm Every time you let government control more of your life, you lose more of your freedom... like which tires to put on your car. Because you're too stupid to know better.

Well, in all honesty, some people ARE too stupid to know better.

And yes. By changing tire size you do affect your fuel economy. But if that's what the goal was they'd have us all driving econoboxes.

I gotta say though. I'm pleased with my car now. I tend to do around 23mpg on my commute (old red wagoon was 17-18) and we were doing over 30mpg on our recent road trip. Most fuel efficient car in our vast fleet!!

Found this on my lime basil. Friend or foe? Looks pretty villainous...

Edit: found it! Nymph stage of milkweed assassin bug.
