I find that very wrong. Laughing as watching the kids and dogs chase them. There is a thing as a humane death . Just me maybe .Eh, no harm done. However, isn't breeding for slow rabbits kinda seem wrong? I don't know just seems like he is just planing to backtrack years of evolution. Better yet, the rabbits he is using for "sacrifice" are not wild. They are domesticated (look at their heads and coloring) so they have NO CHANCE to EVER survive in the wild. Rabbits just don't work that way. That is probably the reasons why they don't go far from the coop, because they know it is safe there, and there is food.
I get the idea, and in all honesty it should work for the predator problem (at least before the said predators start reproducing more, he will need to always add more and more rabbits to keep up with demand) but as a way to help his struggle, maybe use the meat rabbits? The red eyed white ones are bred to be big, and not so fast, plus the white stands out. And either way, they're gonna end up on SOMEONE'S table for dinner.
Either way, it would be seen as abandonment, that is at least in Ohio, a felony. So, there's that to consider.
I told you I cut my toenails last night !BUT I need thatto build a wall for protection from the kicking, and the toe claws
Large rabbit operations can get costly after awhile. Why didn't he just invest in something a little more durable? And like melon said keeping up with the demand will be difficult.
30 day gestation + 6 or more weeks to increase size on a rabbit. That's almost 3 months. Plus feeding during the 6+ weeks. Then waiting to rebreed the doe. And the cycle continues.
looks nasty and to me that you are just north of Legal![]()
