you have any problems in your heat with them getting enough water from those ? I thought about buying some but wasnt real sure about them.

You have to have enough for your flock size. I think it's one nipple per four birds? Maybe three. Either way, that's why the babies need one more.

When it's bad hot I open the coop and they go into the woods. There's a spring back there. And they dig under the straw and wallow in the sand.

I prefer the nipples because the water stays cleaner, but you have to be extra careful because any debris will lock up the nipple. I've had to work on a few that were stuck and no water coming out. Remember that's how I lost a couple hens last spring?

I couldnt use them winter and I have open pans for summer long as the babies are big enough. Its the not yet babies I use the heavy waters for .
