Yard is 80% mowed. What's left is flat with no tall grass. Surprised dogs haven't bee barking at each other tonight. Oldest DD got all her stuff out our storage building & I'm gonna put our wall cabinets down there before youngest daughter puts her stuff in it. Reclaim the dining room. Yeah I'm making progress i think.

Gd's duck is about 10 weeks old. How can i tell if it's male or female?? Will a female lay eggs with no male present? I'm assuming yes.

I think duck is a khaki Campbell female. I hope so. 300 eggs/year & no messing with my hens

Yes, they will. Listen for quack sounds, only females quack. By about 4 months they will get a drake feather if they're male.

Yep. Fingernail polish smothers them. Kane swears you scratch them to bleeding then jump in the pool. I usually try to wait them out but this year they're extra itchy. Actually, I remember one time last year I woke up in the middle of the night because DH was rubbing anti-itch cream in my feet. Apparently my scratching woke him up!

I'm convinced that red bugs is just one of hells punishments along with the fire.
