Granny's gone and done it again

thats ok, I am not sure I know what open means. Not pregnant ?
Same here...
He has being using this open term for a while and I just go with the flow..no clue what he means by it!
LOL

yep in most beef type cattle being open means a trip to the sales barn and then to the hamburger shop. Rancher's won't usually mess around with an open cow, as she (cow) will never make up for not having a salable calf every year.

Screw the open word.
Just say not pregnant for us goofballs.

lol

I THINK it means she was ready, could of got pregnant . But didnt . Not sure
This is what I was thinking too but wasn't quite sure.
I was thinking open...like in heat maybe though...bleeding.

or she did get bred but it didn't "take" aka no fertizilation or calf. Fair or not if a cow is "open" it's considered her fault. And since I know Porter is currently johnny on the spot it would not be him.

IN YAKS it's a little different some do NOT come into season every year for a multiple of reasons. And to be honest, I expect Star to be open next year as she will have calved 4 years in a row.

So Star may refuse to let Porter "do her"?

Not sure if you guys read me saying @ChickenLady2014 The eggs I hatched of the SFH roo from lisa looked like a tolbunt if I didnt know better ? I think I got eggs mixed up. i did have one tolbunt egg in there I thought garbage . I believe I have yet another tolbunt roo.
