Granny when did you say to cut blackberries back? And do I cut them down to the ground or leave some?

if they are like razzberries this years growth will give you berries next year and then dead the third year and can be removed or cut down after all the berries are picked

I dont remember. sorry. Mine are turning ripe. I dont cut mine back except for the dead.

I planted them late last year but they didn't do much. There's a little growth this year though. Seems like I'm supposed to cut them back in the fall but I can't remember.
