That's a lot of mouths to feed over winter, and hay is going to be more expensive with the drought.

hoping to have the 3 bull yearlings sold and then if anyone comes up with 3500 smackers for Hailey I guess she could be gone as well.

The calves should eat about 3 lbs of hay a day each in the winter and the adults 10 to 15 lbs per day is average. There is still a LOT of grazing left in the big pasture if they can get to it this winter.

we went thru 7 big round bales last winter plus last years hay and some older stuff.

All the older stuff is now gone BUT we did get a surprising amount of hay this year. a couple months worth I think.
