Granny's gone and done it again

Mine aren't acting hot. They have plenty shade, dirt, and water pans.
can others bully them away from the water ? I dont know if there is a way to check and see if a chick is dehydrated . I can tell on humans . LOL Pinch the skin where the feathers are bare and see if it bounces back quickly.

Bet you dh never wake you lol.

I don't mind bridges. But half way over that one I couldn't help but think of the life jackets behind us in the boat we were pulling.

If he has to wake me he is real careful to watch my right. I throw a mean right hook and have knocked out a few men with it. I might only be 5 ft tall itty bitty girl, but I tend to throw punches like a guy. lol

Some bridges are just evil scarey.

I was actually thinking about that this am. calling a meeting and discussing being able to stay here. Getting rid of all chickens and indoor pets and moving to an apt.
Good for the scare tactic, but in reality, maybe there's a good option somewhere in between 2 acres and an apartment... for the future.

Another dying hona. Thin, seems alert but can't stand up. I set it right in the middle of a big pile of food, it didn't peck the first time. Plenty food and water in the coop, til the food ran out this afternoon. I'm totally baffled. With cocci they usually act sleepy? It's like one day they just fall over. That's it. Necropsy is like $60, but it's starting to worry me.
Camping, similar thing was happening to someone on a CA thread, and it ended up being mold. The chickens got fungus in their lungs and it eventually did them in. Necropsy confirmed and then she found the mold under a waterer. I think you should get the necropsy done.

sounds awful familur Camping. Just today, I went out to give the new corrid and Mavis and a SFH were stone dead. They seemed fine yesterday too. Broke my heart.
:( Oh, bad things just keep piling on. sigh :hugs
