When mine reaches my back is when I have to cut it because of how curly it is. It starts hanging in ringlets

It's best you cut it then. Those ringlets are massive chick bait.

Once in a blue moon I'll see a mullet. Oh my, I forgot about rat tail. Never was too fond of them.
