I can relate, i was driving home one day when a hamster crawled up the inside of my pant leg! I am not scared of hamsters, but it took me off guard! It is hard to drive when some unknown creature is in your pants!

Like the Little ole bowl weevil, just looking for a home

Well, it did get up there pretty darn high... of course on the inner thigh.

Yes, both the lizards we have here lose their tales... don't they all?
Anyway, mine was a Western Fence Lizard, also called a blue belly. Doesn't it look particularly scratchy???

Just read something really interesting... nymph stage of ticks love to live on these lizards, and there is something in the lizard's blood that kills the Lyme's bacteria inside the baby ticks! These lizards might not keep us from getting bit, but they help us from getting sick! There are tons of them around here too!!! Yay scratchy lizard!! Still, I'd rather they ate the dang ticks!

It's a cousin to granny hatchets which I think are Eastern Fence Lizards. Not sure what the difference is, but being on opposite sides of the Rockies, they would each have a distinct gene pool, although probably closely related.

When my friend and I were walking last week, I found a tiny baby trying to cross the street, so I helped it. Wish I had had a camera!
