Granny's gone and done it again

I know. I hate getting old. A fresh vegetable garden is vital to our good health. Do you do organic? Our went to the weeds this year. No way I had time to weed.
I even tried putting down old carpet in my TN garden. Just could not keep up with the weeds. Ever notice the bugs just ignore weeds and go right for the veggies?

Can you use them as land fill anywhere. They are chock full of chemicals, in think creosote to keep them from rotting. I can't even think of ways to use them. Years ago we used them to make raised beds before we knew better. Maybe someone would want them. Not me for sure.
I use them as yard edging.

this I know which is why I don't want them buried where the chemicals can leach into the soil/groundwater or the creek.

Oh that soup looks good.

Gosh I miss soup weather.
I eat soup year around, but yes cooler weather always triggers my nesting genes lol. Past 2 days it has felt like fall here, plus I'm trying to get the soups restocked in the freezer for hubs lunches. I have made chicken & wild rice, Southwestern Chicken & veggie beef-barley in the past 3 days

I would love to be able to grow organically, but the pest (bugs) are just too bad. I would never be able to harvest anything. Having a hell of a time with pesticides.
I have not used any pesticides here yet. Hoping the birds will eat those bugs.
