I put an ad for my chickens on an app called NextDoor. It's like an online neighborhood bulletin board. And its free! They have a Classified section, safety alerts, government notices, lost &found, hobby areas, so on. It's divided up by neighborhood, and you can select what you see, and what you share where/with whom. I love it. It seemed perfect for what I was selling and who I wanted to see it. And it's working!

ETA: yes, I'm using the old "my friend" so I don't have issues having 25 chickens for now. Only allowed 8.
