Granny's gone and done it again

Wishing....huge hugs.

Camping - love the shirt.

Granny - how old are the kidlets again? and you can always stretch meals by adding rice or salad or veggies or something as well to what's in the crockpot. Ive fed many a starving person in the desert out of my crockpot plus a bunch of instant rice ;)

In case ya,ll are wondering Wishings DH has been laying on the floor next to his mothers bed tending to her every 2 hrs around the clock for I dont know how long. til she didnt need him anymore.
He tended her round the clock for close to 3 weeks, but the sleeping on the floor was only 4 or 5 nights to keep her from trying to get up without help. She fell on his watch, and he wasn't going to let that happen again. He got to sleep, and she got her dignity.

Also have to acknowledge hub's amazing sister, who put her life on hold when she came out from AZ back in Feb to start caring for MIL and her husband. Sister cooked, cleaned, did laundry, transportation to appointments, managed medications, and in all ways supported both of them pretty much single handedly for over 6 months. Hubs took time off work and took over care when MIL got weaker and required a physically stronger person to tend her. It was a long hard journey for the family, and we are relieved that MIL is finally at peace.

My tricks: adding a can of corn and a can of black beans makes something "southwestern."

So 2 lbs meat, two cans diced tomatoes, two cans corn, and two cans black beans, a pot of rice (with chicken bouillon) and a pack of tortillas will feed all those boys.
