Can't you hang up the waterers? My gosh it's hot. Got 2/4 waterers filled and cleaned. Moved the one in the blue coop. Had to dig up the pavers it was sitting on because it was way below the deep litter. Rearranged the new layer coop so maybe they don't make such a mess. Who am I kidding? They will find a way! Now I need to finished the other 2 pens up. BRB again lol
New Laying pullet. This is her 3rd "egg". Feed is fine. Same food they've had since they were old enough for pellets. 18% flock feed. There is oyster on the side. Maybe she's just getting the kinks worked out
The blue pen has had 1 soft and 1 shell less egg this summer. Year old birds. Both times the temp was in the 90's. They are on the same feed and OS on the side.
I have ninja chickens. They kick em, push them and make mud puddles. Can't you hang up the waterers?
Good idea! I'll look into it!Reason they add vit D to milk is to aid calcium absorption. You might try giving the one pullet a smidge of vit D and see if it helps. I did once and it seemed to get my hen on track. And since smidge is not an approved unit of measure, you may want to do a little research first.
