Granny's gone and done it again

Camping, that's scary. Mama coyote is going to be looking for easy meals. There have been problems with them lately here in northern CA. People in residential neighborhoods, walking small dogs ON A LEASH, get them snatched by coyotes. Some walking paths are closed for children and they recommend adults walk in groups. Up until recent years, coyotes have always avoided people. I think more people moving in and squeezing their territory plus the drought has caused them to get bolder. There was even one spotted in San Francisco in the park!

Our neighbor has cattle, so I've seen them off and on through the years. But not this close and and not so non-chalant. I was maybe 25ft away.

I would make some shaker cans (rocks in a can), and keep them out by the coop or around the yard. Easy to grab one and make a lot of noise and throw it at them too. Pistol is a good idea too. Is the camping season over? Do you have to worry about kids running into them?

Camp is over, so only my kids roaming around now.

Skylight leaks, pet peed on seat of sofa, critter ate more garden despite hot wire, and i still have all my kittens that were born June 1st. Plus it started raining every time i went out to work. Sigh.o_O:rolleyes:
Ohh no. That was a crappy day. :hugs Hope it's a better day today.

Eating lots of sugary foods can upset the gut flora and cause it. Pepto/kaopeptate MAX will take care of it. I know the pepto is not an option for Tom/granny. :(
Glad to know that. Once in awhile I'll have those. Hate it.

Today would have been Dad's 88th birthday. We all miss him.
:hugs

Scary camp. Snakes now coyotes! What's next?
Maybe the coyotes will eat the snakes!

We used to have a pack of coyotes up on the hill and ridge behind where we live. They moved on a few years ago... because a mountain lion moved in!
