Granny's gone and done it again

Wild rabbits, even raised by people very young are very nervous. The three i raised were being taken care of by my Dad while i was in Europe. Apparently two cats were watching the rabbits on different sides of the coop and the rabbits beat themselves against the side of the cage until two of them died. The last one survived and was eventually released.
I just don't have time to be feeding wild rabbits every couple of hours. There are tons of them around. Mother needs to make her nest further from human habitation.

When I was a kid, I raised 4 pinkie field mice. My dad destroyed the nest digging up a pipe. Used an eyedropper and goat's milk (I think it was), shoe box with a little comfy nest I made them, a screen over it siting on a heating pad. They were fine and unafraid until about the time they weaned and started on solid food. Then they got totally wild, and one even escaped. I had to let the others go, and I remember crying because I was so worried that my babies wouldn't know how to live. They took off in a flash, and never even looked back! Ungrateful little pinkies!

Don't worry, granny, we're keeping the kids close. Dad is worried that it didn't seem more afraid of me. It's coat was ratty and gross, and I wonder if it wasn't sick. We'll be watching everything extra close.
I know you will hun. You had a good person watching the kids today.

Actually, domestic mice make excellent pets. I raised them and sold them to pet stores.
