Wild rabbits, even raised by people very young are very nervous. The three i raised were being taken care of by my Dad while i was in Europe. Apparently two cats were watching the rabbits on different sides of the coop and the rabbits beat themselves against the side of the cage until two of them died. The last one survived and was eventually released.
I just don't have time to be feeding wild rabbits every couple of hours. There are tons of them around. Mother needs to make her nest further from human habitation.
Well, nature is harsh. I just can't be raising wild rabbits right now.A lot of wild mothers of any species will abandon the nest, and any babies, if human scent is on it/them
I know you will hun. You had a good person watching the kids today.Don't worry, granny, we're keeping the kids close. Dad is worried that it didn't seem more afraid of me. It's coat was ratty and gross, and I wonder if it wasn't sick. We'll be watching everything extra close.
