I looked for okra today at the veggie stand. No can find.Is Gran y home yet? Im resting after cooking lunch & washing, cutting, battering,& bagging 3 gallons of okra for the freezer.
hahaha! Yes indeed! We didn't get to see anything except fog. In fact, as it got foggier as the sun was blocked by the moon because less heat to burn it off. Just seemed like a very overcast day here. In fact, it's still foggy, which I normally like, but would have traded it for a glance at the eclipse. When it's over, and daylight returns, it'll be like another sunrise. At 70+, that's a pretty big deal![]()
That is good news. Glad your hip is feeling better. My good news was I slept night before last w/out Aleve pm. Forgot to tell yesterday.
Sorry about the chicks. Hope this doesn't turn into another case of Guess the Predator and you lose more.good morning all. I was winning the battle with the sucker chair until mid evening.
Talked to Robert and something got into the young birds, got a hamp and 2 of the whites, ate one head partially and the "bottoms" of the other 2.
Wink, my 75% sure-it's-a-cockerel-sexed-pullet looked a lot like that at 9 weeks and was even acting like a young male. Turned out to be a pullet, thank goodness, and has the most beautiful green feathers. I love the Lorps! I would hang onto yours until you're sure. Was it sexed as a pullet? You can look for pointy saddle feathers coming in along the back, maybe by 10 weeks or so.Yup, just cooled off some, light looked like a big cloud bank rolling through, chickens quieted a bit, but did not go to roost. But we only had 75% or so.
And here's my suspected Black Australorp roo.
