Thanks twist, going to give it a whirl lol@chickenlady
I just make my stock the same way I would if I was actually going to eat it. Wack the chicken small enough to fit in your kettle, (you ALL can also do this with just backs and wings, just save them from when you cut up chicken until you have a big bunch -freezer) and veggies GO easy on the salt. (unless making if for granny) simmer until meat is easy to pick off the bones. I package the meat separately and freeze that. Strain the rest and give the spent veggies to the chickens. Bring back to boil and then Jar, I think
I actually used the pressure canner.
Left the skin on the chicken to start with. All that good fat/flavor and the goodies from the connective tissue is NOW cooked into your stock. I also left it in the jars when canning.
Looks fantastic! Here is the newly painted workshop. View attachment 1124218
Big kids went back to school on Monday Papa is wore out playing with Lauren, if we had twins at leastshe would have a playmate besides me .
That's how I felt when I cared for my granddaughter. It was so much easier when she had her cousins to play with. If it was just me she wanted 100% of my attention. Never thought I would survive that time of her life, but I did.
Looks great Cap, I hate to paint. Here is the newly painted workshop. View attachment 1124218

you've got a bunch cooking Camping. Hope you can finally get some to hatch without a snake getting the eggs or the chicks.I went and moved a few more birds around. I moved Mavis down to the broody suite with 8 eggs... She had 15 a few days ago. But some were broken and some not developing. 8 is a good number for a first-timer. I had collected 2 guinea eggs and 2 ducks eggs then forgot them in the rain.Racecar is setting three guinea eggs and a couple chicken eggs (with wiggly AC). Since she doesn't set during the day I'm hoping she'll lay a few more, then I can get a third clutch of scovies going. Fluttershy is on 7, could've sworn it was 8 or 9. But no sign of a snake tonight. I'll plug the holes up tomorrow.
