Does he test high in all subjects or just a couple? Maybe he could just take a few advanced classes? Does his school have a gifted program where he could get enrichment?

Reads college level, he's aced calculus, science he's far advanced about the only thing he lacks in is hand writing.

My husband wanted to know why i need it. We have lots of portable drills. I just wanted it! I said, well i need to build a goat barn and a bunch more rabbit cages! How many rabbit cages? I don't know, maybe three... of course most of the ones i make hold three rabbits.

He's tutored math all summer to high schoolers in summer school

Had an interesting meeting at Will's school today, They did an end of grade test last year. He's in the 6th grade . They feel he would be more suited to the 8th grade ,and possibly the 9th . No there's no denying he's smart, but there's something's I'd just a soon he didn't learn so young. The 9th grade he would have to go to high school. I hate to hamper his learning , but ???? I'm in a quandary over this . An thoughts, comments , advice ????

how does he do socially? I hate advancing kids, but its terrible they are not challenging him.

See what he thinks about it. I started school a year early because my Mom took me to a different school near where she worked. So i was 17 when i graduated. But if he moves up a couple years he would likely get picked on.

And he's crushing on one of his 17yo pupils named Angel , it's Angel this and Angel that, you would think she's really an honest to goodness angel . LOL she is purty , but my boys gonna get his new teenage heart broke .

He leads the pack. And he takes up for kids that his "friends" decided to be mean to. He called them on it.
