Granny's gone and done it again

probably because of a money issue or they have 5 boys to feed. LOL
No, i am talking about my son. He has money but they eat out a lot. The girlfriend does the shopping and cooking other than that. The other son has stuff in because they get WIC. Lots of beans and rice etc.

Im stuck. I wanted to make that "chicken pot pie" again. It was really good. First off I bought the wrong kind of chicken. It has skin and bones. (thighs) and now I realize my 9x12 baking dish wont cut it for 8 people.

Do you have a second dish? You can cook the thighs, pick the bones, save the stock, etc. The boys can help, so all you really have to do is boil the highs awhile.

I dont understand Camp?

ast time I used a couple boneless skinless breasts and added cream of shroom sauce and a bag of frozen veggies and baked it then served it over biscuits.

Sorry, I had two different thoughts. Ok, after you boil the thighs and pick the meat from the bones, use the shredded meat in the shroom sauce. You can add white beans for more protein, I've done that with vegetarian pot pie.

From 9x12 everyone gets one scoop and two biscuits. Open canned veg/beans to stretch it. Or pb/j or cereal if they're still hungry. 9x12 should be 12 servings. Don't let them get their seconds with their firsts.

I was trying to get on yesterday, but nothing would load. I thought it was the computer, but now thinking our internet service was having problems since this morning it seems fine.

Woke up to drizzle this morning! :wee and it's still dripping out there. Will help greatly with the fire danger this season. Chickens are happy because it brings the bugs out!

@Wishing4Wings I have not been able to find the post again that you made about hubs taking my tomatoes & me buying some. I consider what happened to me this morning was a blessing from above. I have 40+ tomato plants that just aren't ripening & what has haven't been pretty. I have no idea where this man got his tomatoes from, but they are beautiful. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Out of greed I could EASILY take these 2 bushel & sell them for a bunch on my stand because the guy up the road has nothing left for tomatoes. I could probably double what I paid for them, but I wont, I truly just want to get my tomatoes canned to feed us until next summer. I use canned tomatoes in so many foods I cook. Hubby still gets to put out ripened tomatoes now, but without me griping at him. If we have a fluke weather change & we end up with lots of tomatoes. Then we will sell them to others to can. I didn't pay anymore than what we charge for a bushel. I feel majorly BLESSED
God works in mysterious ways. :thumbsup

nope . their stubborn. they got water, generator, gas, cash and guns . Said thats all they need. Told em they forgot the floaties.
Hope they are in buildings that can withstand the winds. All that stuff isn't going to be of any help at all if it gets blown away. Hopefully Irma will take a hard right and miss Florida completely. Hopefully.

No but winters coming. Thinking of a rope pully system to the roof from my bedroom.
