Granny's gone and done it again

Granny, this fed us double helpings with leftovers.

Beef roast: $7
5lbs potatoes: $3
1 can shroom soup
1 packet dry onion soup mix.

Put the roast in crock pot with can of soup, packet mix, and 4 cups of water. Cooked on high 6 hours (forgot to set it this morning).

Cook potatoes in microwave. Kids ate theirs like baked with just butter. DH and I mashed ours with the gravy.

Edit: we caught good sales and froze that roast in March. Potatoes were on sale, so we thawed it out.

I have 5 minutes before I can shut the canner off to cool. So as it cools I have more jars to go back in. It's always hurry up & wait grr......

LOL I usually have 2 canners going when doing a water bath type and they ALWAYS are done at different times so not so much sitting and waiting.
