Granny's gone and done it again

Hi all ! luvmyduck, Terrible diet for a duck. she needs some protein ! Get her some duck food and pass on the dog food. The protein is too low. You might want some vitamins for her and is she still swimming ? Lots of water for her.

Crackers is a very picky duck. She ate duck pellets (unless they got wet) and froze veggies ( a tip from this site lol) but only corn and carrots until about 8 months old when she discovered the brown dog kibbles in her buddies bowl. For a little while I could get her to eat both. (She won't eat the kibbles if they get wet) Now the kibbles r her main diet when were not in the yard for her to forage for whatever she finds there ( shes always chewing something but I can't see what unless it's grass, lol). I give her a little ground beef ( which she loves, I rinse it off) once a week. And bunches of crickets for another treat during the week. It's funny watching her chase them. Sometimes I get gold fish but I feel bad about them. She loves big leaves of romain lettuce ( another tip from here ty). Shes turned down things I thought every duck would eat but we've tried to figure out a good diet but shes the one that ultimately chooses.
Since shes getting older I would like some kind of vitamins for her. I will look into what kind and how much to give her but the internet is exhausting. The vet I have is very good with her bit I've also started looking into avion vets in my area. This little girl is the sweetest pet I've ever had ( though very unexpected too, lol).
Ty guys

With a proper duck feed she won't need vitamins.

Try getting crumbles, wetting them a bit, and mixing in with greens and scrambled egg- all very good for her! This way you can slowly transition her to the duck feed. Peas are another good treat because of the niacin. I'm not sure if the adults require it the same way that the babies do, but my scovies go crazy for peas.

Edit: pull the kibble and don't offer it again. She will give in eventually. Typically only very, VERY sick birds refuse food.

Nope all I got is sore fingers . I think it might have something to do with the bathroom toilet . this am Tom had to plunge it. I hate to think that because they should no way be on the same line.
