My Mother in law used to have migraines for a week. I can usually forestall them if i take pills and get to sleep. That's good, stress can cause bad headaches. My migraines always got worse, until all I could do was lay on the bathroom floor holding my head & puking. That's when hubs would haul me to the ER for them to medicate me to try to get rid of it. Usually would fight one headache for 3 days.
Never had any luck with migraine meds helping. The problem was my brain stem was not in my skull. It hung below my skull with it getting crushed between the skull & spinal cord. Only took doctors until I was 42 to figure that out. They were determined I was a hypochondriac with clinical depression. My Mother in law used to have migraines for a week. I don't have much respect for many doctors. I went in with abdominal pain so bad i couldn't let my kids sit in my lap many years ago. That doctor said i had endometriosis. I needed a hysterectomy according to him. Isn't there a test to rule that out i ask. No he says. I get a second opinion and have laparoscopic exam, negative, no endometriosis. The first doctor just needed money i guess.Never had any luck with migraine meds helping. The problem was my brain stem was not in my skull.
