Granny's gone and done it again

Jasper hurt his paw. I looked him over and it looks just a little irritated between his pawpad and ..ankle? Right behind the big pad. It doesn't look split or even that inflamed, so maybe he bruised it? He's hobbling around on three paws, poor thing. Can I use the neosporin with lidocaine on him or are they intolerant like chickens? I figure a wrap will help it feel better.

do you feel any "heat" any where on the paw, lower leg, pads, toes ??

And we would gladly take it still over 5 inches short for the year.

Sour Cream Raisin with Mer-rangue complete with home made crust using leaf lard. :drool
I got the ribs (country style) a couple weeks ago when they were on sale. And considering everything she does here and the farm for FREE it is the VERY least I can do for her.
I don't even like raisins but that sounds good :drool

That's true, she does do a lot :)

Is it merencary to think at this point better for all the lings to be doa ??

If they were alive they'd probably be so weak that they'd just suffer until they passed. Between the cold and I'm sure dehydration from the time abroad :barnie

@campingshaws I have always used the same "meds" as I do for humans, Triple antibiotic and the like Have never had any problems other then them trying to lick it off.

Is Jasper licking that foot a lot ?? If so He will probably just work the wrap off and possibly eat it. Unless you use the CONE OF SHAME

It all felt warm but I didn't compare it to the others. After I noticed him limping I went out to feed/water and he bolted out the door after Jewel, hit the porch and crumpled, and went straight back inside. :(

He's not really licking that much, another reason in thinking bruise instead of wound.

maybe a pulled muscle ?? I probably would NOT give anything for pain. As pain is nature's way of telling them to take it easy.

well it's almost 10:30 am here and NO call from the PO. they are NOT open on sundays. SO I am assuming that my MIA lings will also be DOA

Now I need to go start Vickie's birthday meal. Get my pie crust mixed and then chilling before starting to par-boil the ribs.

GOOD NEWS as of 2 pm yesterday we had gotten 1 1/4 inches of rain. AND it rained/drizzeled the rest of the day and I think most of the night. :ya:wee
I'm sure you're enjoying that.

They use lidocaine in the vet offices but if you have regular neosporin I would use that on it and wrap it up. Would he have got caught on anything and rubbed the hair off?

Pippa has been bad about chewing her feet and actually leaving a red bald spot.

Never encountered that one. Only thing I can think of is the possibility that something else in the fridge is responsible for the smell, but you'd have noticed that when you opened the door.
Hope you tossed them.
Only thing in that fridge was beer, water, pop and Gatorade. They were in the downstairs fridge. We use it for drinks.
