I have not had any dogs get into my yard since I got the fence up. I'm a light sleeper as well, so I hear if something is wrong. I've woken my neighbour up when her chickens were being attacked!

I'm also having the owner look the place over before he leaves the sheep so he knows exactly what he's leaving them in.

Just because the dogs haven't gotten in lately doesn't mean they can't or won't when there are sheep to lure them in. The larger dogs can clear a 6' fence easily.

We have several companies here that rent either sheep or goats for exactly this purpose. They all come in and set up electric fencing, and they all bring LGD to guard the herds as they work.
