Granny's gone and done it again

My pretty arbor out front is being pulled down. I have wisteria planted in the ground and this is whats doing it. I have chopped it numerous times . I put 2 half barrels there and planted a pretty honeysuckle in them and thought I could weed whip to keep the wisteria away. No such luck . Now I just have a mess that will need to all come down.

My sis would love that wisteria plant... she's always wanted one, but they take a lot of water in the summer. If you let if grow up, won't it support itself eventually, become a little tree?

Who needs a rooster when you can have a hawk screaming from the treetops every morning? o_O
At my mother's place in Florida, they lived on a big pond. Dad put Tilapia in it. They had a tall pine tree near the house and every morning there was an Osprey up there screaming.

cant kill them here. Yes I have one in tree form. Depends on how you trim them. Too late for these .

Those are pileated woodpeckers. Very cool. We have had a pair around here, pretty rare for our area. Unfortunately their favorite tree is sitting in our wood shed... beetles got to it and the neighbors had it cut down this summer.
Woody Woodpecker was based on the pileated wp.

wonder how many birds Wishing that has passed through your area and came to mine ? Its possible we have looked at the same exact bird before in our yards.
