That was me yesterday. Thought I’d get a whole bunch done but had to type a ladies schedule up for her and the Internet kept going in and out. Then of all things the laptop shut down with a full battery in the middle of typing nothing went right yesterday, just left lol

Hope you're taking him to Dr today. I waited 2 weeks to take GD & her ear infection was really bad when we got there. I felt really bad.
63* & sunny this am. Every pen got cracked corn this am. Goat & everyone else pounced on it. Started some fermenting to feed on Friday. Gotta go to co-op for layer pellets.

59 degrees and 85% humidity. No rain still. Supposed to go up to 75 today. I put up a tarp on the guinea run to block the prevailing winds yesterday. I am ordering some brown tarps, they look better than blue.

What are you wanting to do camp?

I want to set up a reading program with rewards and prizes. I think I can get the bookmobile out, too. Last year the highest AR score in 4th grade was 30-something. Second highest was 10. Which means everyone in 4th grade was lower than that.

Also, DD wants to get diary of a wimpy kid from the school library, but she can't because she's in 3rd grade and it's a 5th grade reading level. She can only get books at level from the school.

ALSO it would be fun to get the animals involved for the kids to read to. Both mine take turns reading to the baby duck. I've heard about it in other schools with dogs, which I think Jasper could do. Plus the cochins and a couple of the nice cockerels.

SO: a weekly program at the camp with the bookmobile and animals to read to. Incentives like prizes for goals reached (number or types of books). Prizes like bookstore gift cards, book sets, maybe a top prize of a week of camp?

For years I've wanted to have a tutoring night at camp with homework help and a hot meal, all for free. I think the reading program could be a way to start, like phase 1.

That's an awesome idea camp.

Especially the read to the animals thing. Animals aren't going to judge and laugh if you stumble over words.

That's strange they limit like that. Huh. Do you have a local library (public library not school one) instead?
