That's why I dug mine with with my hands & a flower garden tool. Beautiful potatoes & they are keeping great in the basement. Had to dig mine by the first part of August. They were really large by then with all the rain we had.

varies depending on sun, water/rain, weather, bugs or not. I should get around 500 to 700 pounds

they might work well for stock personally I would skin them and ignore the wings as well.
