Granny's gone and done it again

Hi everyone! I have been super lazy lately. Fell asleep last night before I even finished catching up.
SPIKE UPDATE: She has laid a few eggs and they are already getting fairly large. Sadly, she's been taking lessons from crazy Ginger and keeps flying over the fence. Spike shows up on the patio, looking in the slider. Today, when I put her back, she immediately went to the coop and started inspecting nest boxes, so I locked her in! How can they forget where to lay?? The CCLs don't have any problems. They are great... no trouble and good layers.

Lisa, so glad you are gong to see Pam. Wish I could be there too. Maybe someday.

Camping, your hair looks great! We have a parakeet and a cockatiel in the house. Lot of the time I wish we didn't. Very dusty critters.

Alley, what type of eggs are they again?
I sure hope you can someday too. That would be lots of fun.

Hi Wishing, how's your back doing?
Back is doing ok. I'm just out of energy lately. How about you? Is your arm felling better? No more pain?

I'm praying we don't have a hard winter this year, but we've gotten off pretty easy the past 2 yrs. Just waiting for the ax to fall.
I'm worried about that too. The jays and the squirrel are battling it out for acorns, trying to stock up. We have a ton of firewood, thanks to the neighbors losing a big oak and a different neighbor losing a giant pine. Oh, and mostly, thanks to hubs because he has split it all and is loading it in the woodshed. He does a little bit every day when he gets home from work. Says it's all the exercise he gets these days.

Wishing, your lucky with your CCL then. Mine always want a certain box & will squack all day about it & then end up laying in the run or under the coop. Freeloaders haven't layed since August. They've been molting, but I did see 2 in checking out nest boxes just yesterday so here's to hoping they get back on line. Got home tonight from town & Ya Betty & Granny both think they are going broody. It ain't happening, they were very peeved when I removed them from the nest boxes haha.

They are mixed but :fl for more blue chicks. Oh and the 2 Bantam eggs are OEGB. I wish since the silkie cockerel is crowing he’d be trying to breed the Cochin or duccle but no such luck. Mama is young and nice. Haven’t lost any fingers yet.

Sounds like you need to go to the doctor for some blood tests. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I just had blood tests and the only abnormality was high sugar so possibly prediabetes. Sadly my doctor does not like me and is rude so i need to get a different one.
