Your dr is probably rude and cranky to everyone. I need to find a dr too. Going to read reviews on yelp and such and talk to my friend who is a nurse. It's hard enough for me to even go to the dr, so I would never go back if I didn't feel a little comfortable. That's a pretty high hurdle!!

Talk to your nurse friend, ask her who she sees. I have a female Dr. now, but I suffered with a hateful male doctor for far to many years. Not saying all male doctors are bad, just my old one. Took a lot of courage to change doctors. His treatment left me feeling like I was crazy. Unfortunately he caused me many years of unnecessary pain because he thought it all was in my head. Sure hope you can find a good one right from the start Wishing.

Working in the medical field you see it all. You don't have to put up without a mean , condensing dr.

Yes, a good doctor can be hard to find. They are human and have many failings.

No, she is sweet and talkative to MY DH. I hate her. Yes, i am not comfortable at all with her and her attitude.

She's probably intimidated by you having been a nurse.
