I have tried to decrease the amount of sugar i eat. Gave up rum, cola etc. But it is hard to avoid . I am prediabetic so i really need to cut way back. I don't want all those diabetes complications. It is extra hard on me because i have IBS so there is a bunch of stuff i need to avoid with that. And i do not like artificial sweetners. I wish husband would cook more veggies. I really do enjoy them.It is a problem, I can't quit eating it.
When i first gave up soda it was hard, i had a lot of headaches. Now we have a few cans in the fridge and i hate the taste of it. Try to cut back or give up specific items. I have actually given up chocolate at times. Try to substitute other things you like. Say you really want a cookie but have an apple instead. Tell yourself you can always eat a cookie tomorrow but make a good choice now.
