The guy I got her from had a 14 year old buck!

They CAN live awhile but most don’t.

What do you guys think the best rabbit breeds would be for the camp farm? Anything heat tolerant and friendly/docile? I had a dwarf holland lop as a kid (that's what they said she was) and she was fine until she wasn't. Got very mean. We took her to a bunny place called "Hoppy Acres."

How about Dutch rabbits?

Yeah, in captivity rabbits live quite a long time unless they are meat rabbits...

Can... not always but it's certainly not rare.

Or pet rabbits that escape and meet (or meat) the neighbour's dog.

I love rex rabbits. I've had lop ears. GD currently has a female lionhead. Wish I had a male. Had some others years ago. Can't reme mber the breeds.

That's a great idea. I know Cap and Wish have also had rabbits. And alley? Jane? I think there were lots.

I had mini rex, dutch, lionheads and now i have Holland Lops. They were all good tempered, especially the Lionheads.

I eat rabbit once and would like to do it again. LOL Boiled dinner w/ sausage, rabbit. whole corn on the cobs , Dont remember the rest but it sure was good.

I’ve never ate rabbit before. I bred them for fair and sold some but never butchered or ate them
