Thanks melon! I think for us bigger would be better because the kids could pet without wanting to hold. The Californians sound really appealing, thought I'm concerned by the "dense" fur. When I was very young my BFFs family raised rabbits and they swore by the Dutch rabbits, which is one that I looked into but no one else has mentioned.
I'm sure someone did, here. too lazy to look back. Good breed to have, but again, they are hard to categorize to JUST ONE personality type. I have some that would love to just sit all day, then others that attack anything that moves in their cage
. As for the californians, I never noticed if their fur was more dense than any other rabbit's, in any sense they would probably do fine with a combo of shade and water in the summer. Melon, isnt this your 2nd trip to Ireland ? How exciting !
Yeah, every trip is different, this time I think I am going up to Donegal? Depends how it works out. Wanted to go last year, but that fell through. This year I am flying from Pittsburgh to Newark then a 12 hr long layover before going over the Atlantic, probably could have better planned that but I do have some freind local there so hopefully we can meet up.
They come back soon
