Granny's gone and done it again

I haven't had coffee or cokes in six weeks. We've had beef once and pork twice, otherwise it's chicken, fish, or eggs. I eat cottage cheese with a drop of honey. I keep yogurt for the kids to eat for snacks. Tonight I drove the kids through McD's for happy meals and I made a breakfast burrito when I got home.

Going on a hunger strike?

Oh not too much. Guess I have everything ready for winter around here. Glad to hear you were able to get back to your home. Can't imagine how stressful all that has been.
Yes, it was pretty stressful. I'm kind of a homebody anyway. I didn't sleep well the whole time, and I keep dozing off in front of the computer... which is not unheard of for me, but not usually at 8pm.

Thanks Cap. Your hoop coop is looking good. What are you going to use to cover the top?

Hi Jane. You are going to like that truck. My hens were pretty comfy perched under the camper shell at night. The broody hen was fine, and she's still broody! The animal control officer came out twice to feed and water her. Wish I had known about that earlier... would have saved me some worry. Your hatch is coming along! We need some pics.

I am using clear plastic wavy roof panels on top, then welded wire where the roof panels stop. The welded wire will be covered by camo colored tarps. I think it is going to look great! I went for clear panels because there will be no power there so i need light from the sky. The door has a window too. Ends will be pallets, then up higher will be plywood. Thanks for asking. I am posting lots of pictures on Helpful hints for building coops, my building thread.
