Down to 44 already. Hope it does not freeze. I just went out and checked the chickens. All in the coop, so shut goes the pop door. I was sure glad to get back inside!

Lost a little today. Looked fine, stretched out like a dart near the wall. I warmed it up just in case. No luck. It was the gold-laced one, ironically the only one that did not stay out overnight. Got the coop cleaned and DH helped me round up the lings. I need them to figure out the ramp.

Made a pot of coffee. Only got milk for 1 cup & stevia for two cups. Gonna get groceries in the am. Building being delivered after noon. Both silkie hens laying almost every day. I thought they were not good layers. One laid a double yolker.

Wow, a double yolker by a silkie! Never had that happen. But they were pretty regular layers unless they turn broody.
We were pretty happy to get our storage buildings! Big difference having space for things. You can actually find things you need!
